Our 2015/2016 Chevening Scholars have returned home after spending a year in the UK during which they studied hard, built their networks, and became acquainted with British culture. British Embassies and High Commissions all over the world celebrated their return by throwing welcome home events. It is here that our newest cohort of Chevening Alumni receive their Chevening completion certificates, become inducted into the alumni community at home, and showcase all they learnt in the UK. On 25 August 2016, 66 guests gathered at the British embassy in Baku to witness the establishment of the Chevening Alumni Association Azerbaijan (CAAA). Guests were from many sectors of society including journalists, university academics, and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs. Narmin Rahimli, Chevening Alumna (2014) and new president of the association, led the initiative for an exclusive group for Chevening Alumni in Azerbaijan.
