“For me, the most valuable experience with Chevening has been the opportunity to meet fellow scholars and be part of an international and inclusive community. As a scholar, you start your journey in the UK alone, in a place you probably have not been before. You get to meet other Cheveners from all over the world who can become part of your network and friends.
This opportunity to take part in this network allows me and other scholars to share unforgettable moments. For example, celebrating birthdays, spending Christmas and New Year’s Eve together, creating an open space to share your frustrations and achievements, and most importantly, supporting each other before and during your life in the UK.” – Chevening Scholar Daniela Perozo Coste, studying International Development at University of Edinburgh
