Help to educate British school children and have your voice heard while you’re in the UK.

Solutions Not Sides (SNS) is an educational charity providing humanising experiences and critical thinking on Israel and Palestine.

SNS has been working in the UK for over 10 years, engaging over 60,000 students in the process. By bringing Palestinian and Israeli speakers, who are passionate about justice and ending occupation, into the classroom they help to empower teachers to tackle this difficult subject and to push back against Islamophobia, anti-Semitism, conspiracy theories, and simplistic combative views.

SNS gives young people the chance to hear from ordinary Palestinians and Israelis; to get to know them, hear their stories, and ask questions that they may have otherwise been too afraid to ask. This experience is transformative for many British teenagers who grow up hearing just one perspective.

‘We are seeking Palestinian Chevening Scholars to become speakers for sessions in British schools around the country. Having worked with Chevening Scholars before and having been inspired by their work, we would love to do this again.

‘We are keen to offer this opportunity to the Chevening 2022/23 cohort to allow them to maximise their time in the UK and to potentially see other parts of the UK that they might not have seen otherwise!

This is a unique opportunity to:

  • Tell your story as a representative of Palestinian civil society
  • Deliver a win-win message of self-determination and human rights
  • Gain experience in public speaking and conflict resolution
  • Establish new contacts
  • Travel around the UK
  • Gain references and enhance your CV!
