The Chevening Conference is our flagship academic event of the year. It’s a chance for scholars from across the globe to present their research and expand their networks.
This year, we’re partnering with the University of Warwick to deliver an exciting day of talks on the topic of ‘innovation and collaboration around the world’.
With the conference scheduled to take place on Wednesday 3 May 2023, we are currently calling for submissions from Chevening Scholars who would like to present at the event.
Why present?
Do you want to present your academic research to leading academics and fellow scholars?
If you’re a current Chevening Scholar, now’s your chance!
You’ll have the opportunity to network with like-minded individuals and gain valuable feedback on your research.
It’s also an opportunity to refine your public speaking skills, develop your personal brand, and enhance your resume.
Given the quality of proposals we receive each year, being able to tell future employers you were selected to present your research is a huge achievement.
What you need to do:
If you are interested in presenting at the conference, make sure you submit your proposal by 23:59 (GMT) on Tuesday 31 January 2023, using the link in your January Scholargram.
We are looking for approximately 25 scholars to speak on the day.
Your proposal should relate to your academic discipline, but you are not required to focus on your dissertation topic or your current master’s study.
We welcome submissions on all topics, so don’t be put off if you think your idea is too specific.
If you are chosen to present, you will have up to 30 minutes to deliver your presentation, factoring in time for questions too.
So what are you waiting for? Get writing and get inspiring.
