Snowdon Mountain Railway
2 – 4 September 2016
Come and celebrate 120 years of the Snowdon Mountain Railway which will take you on a journey to the rooftop of Wales. Snowdon, at 1085m, dominates the landscape of Snowdonia National Park in North Wales. Claim this mountain peak, the highest in Wales, as a lifetime’s achievement. Buckingham Palace Summer Opening
2 September to 1 October 2016
After the doors have closed to the public for the day, enjoy the splendour of the state rooms in the company of an expert guide on an exclusive evening tour of Buckingham Palace.

Blackpool Illuminations
2 September to 6 November
You really have to see to believe it. The flamboyant light show has been dazzling crowds since 1912, when 10,000 bulbs were lit to celebrate Blackpool’s first visit by the British royal family. The Illuminations have lit up Blackpool ever since.
BBC Proms in the Park (North Wales)
10 September 2016
Parc Eirias in Colwyn Bay, North Wales will host the annual open-air feast of live music with the BBC National Orchestra and Chorus of Wales and special guests, part of the UK-wide celebration of the Last Night of the Proms 2016. Bring your picnic and flags to enjoy an evening of music, fireworks and fun.
