Chevening equality, diversity and consent training

Information about mandatory equality, diversity, and consent training for all Chevening scholars and fellows.

As part of your UK government scholarship, it is mandatory for all scholars to complete two training courses on equality, diversity, and consent. They are designed to help you understand the laws in the UK, as well as what is expected of you as a scholar or fellow, as set out in the Chevening code of conduct

These courses will supplement but not replace courses that your university may require you to complete.

Course information

  1. Equality & Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) for Students. This is an introduction to UK legislation around EDI. It includes details about protected characteristics, and outlines how these laws may impact what you can expect from your university, your scholarship, and your community.
  2. Consent on Campus. This is an introduction to what consent means in the UK, and what you can expect of the British police if you report an incident.

How to access the training courses will be sent to you in your monthly scholar newsletter.
