In September 2016, the Chevening Officer Excellence Awards were launched in order to recognise best practice within the Chevening network. The focus for the pilot awards was alumni engagement and, after a highly competitive process, we were delighted to select three winning posts: Brazil, Nigeria, and Mexico. Read more

GSK Scholars

Five scholars from three west African countries have been selected for Chevening/GSK Scholarships. Eric Besong, Tim Fabrice Tientcheu (both Cameroon), Urban Akagwire (Ghana), Chinedu Chikwendu, and Chigbo Chikwendu (both Nigeria) were selected for these awards. They will undertake healthcare-related subjects at universities in Edinburgh, Nottingham, and London. Read more

Do you want to be involved in the selection of the world's future leaders? If so, we are currently recruiting for the 2017/2018 Chevening Reading Committees. Reading committees play a vital role in the selection of Chevening Scholars and Fellows. Each committee is comprised of a regional assessor and an academic assessor, who assess applications from one or more countries from a particular region of the world. Read more

The British Embassy in Luanda has signed a Chevening Partnership with BP offering up to eight jointly-funded scholarships for Angolan scholars to study masters' degrees in the UK over the next two academic years. Read more

The UK’s Foreign and Commonwealth Office invites proposals from evaluation experts for the delivery of a short term monitoring and evaluation project for the Chevening Awards scheme.
