Prudence Foundation is the community investment arm of Prudential in Asia and was established in 2011.
Prudence Foundation is the community investment arm of Prudential in Asia. Its mission is to secure the future of communities by enhancing education, health, and safety.
The Foundation runs regional programmes as well as local programmes in partnership with NGOs, governments, and the private sector in order to maximise the impact of its efforts.
Prudence Foundation leverages Prudential’s long term mindset and geographical scale to make communities safer, more secure, and more resilient.
Chevening and the Prudence Foundation
The Prudence Foundation has been a strong supporter of the Chevening Scholarships since 1997.
The foundation says: ‘A key focus of our social investment across Asia is education, which plays a critical role in the betterment of societies. Being able to help talented students across Asia achieve their full potential via the Chevening Scholarships is very gratifying, and is a natural fit with our desire to help Asian societies grow and prosper.’
To date, the Prudence Foundation has supported over 107 outstanding students from 9 diverse countries including Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, and South Korea.
Who do the Prudence Foundation support?
This year, the Prudence Foundation is generously co-funding a number of Chevening Awards available to applicants from:
- Cambodia (any subject)
- Laos (any subject)
- Philippines (any subject)
- Malaysia (islamic banking, politics/regulator/government, economics, finance, media, journalism, actuarial science)
- Myanmar (finance and economics-related studies)
Applicants who apply to undertake studies in the relevant subject areas will be considered for a co-sponsored Chevening Award.
