Turkish Education Foundation (TEV)
The Turkish Education Foundation is a non-governmental organization established in 1967, which has contributed to education for over half a century in a number of distinct roles.
This support mainly includes scholarships for high school, university, and master’s and PhD students. The Foundation also took over the administration of the Inanc Turkes Private High School (TEVITOL), a boarding school for sifted high school students from all over Turkey. While the Foundation has constructed over +30 schools & educational facilities around the country, which were handed over to the Turkish Ministry of National Education, TEV also operates housing facilities for young women and girls studying in university, to accommodate students to live safely. TEV supports the largest number of students in Turkey, second only to the government. TEV steadfastly upholds its mission to promote equal opportunity in education for all.
The Turkish Education Foundation is contributing 2 scholarships for Turkish applicants studying a Master’s degree in any subject.
TEV and Chevening
It has been a priority for the Turkish Education Foundation to establish sustainable and meaningful partnerships with prestigious international organizations, with long-standing roots, exactly such as Chevening. Our Foundation aims to strengthen and preserve this valuable partnership, throughout the upcoming years, so that more Turkish students can benefit in internationally acclaimed universities in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
Here at TEV, we immensely value building international partnerships, with leading and prestigious organizations, that serve our main mission to provide sustainable and essential scholarships to students from Türkiye. As a Foundation, we form partnerships with three different categories: with government agencies, with academic institutions and with private organizations.
Even though scholarships are TEV’s raison d’être, since the Foundation sincerely believes enabling students to sustain their education financially must be prioritized, we do strive to achieve all sustainable development goals set by the United Nations. The Foundation focuses explicitly on SDG 4 and SDG 5, which are “quality education” and “gender equality”. For this reason, partnering with an organization such as Chevening, will be a significant step forward for our Foundation’s international goals.
Our long-standing and deeply rooted cooperation with Chevening had begun in the early 2000s. After a short interval since 2015, we are thrilled to re-establish our relationship with strengthened bonds; this renewed partnership underscores our shared commitment to fostering global education and leadership.
