University of Cambridge
Founded in 1209, Cambridge is the second-oldest university in the English-speaking world and the world's fourth-oldest surviving university.
Cambridge is formed from a variety of institutions which include 31 constituent colleges and over 100 academic departments organised into six schools.
The university occupies buildings throughout the town, many of which are of historical importance.
Chevening and the University of Cambridge
The Cambridge Trust has partnered with the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office and the Chevening programme for 20 years, and in that time has supported nearly 400 Chevening Scholars at the University of Cambridge.
Its partnership with the Chevening programme aims to ensure that the best applicants are given the fullest support, from both the Chevening offices and the Cambridge Trust.
The University of Cambridge thrives on the inclusion of talented international students on its programmes. Since Chevening Scholars are chosen after a rigorous selection process, the university can be confident that the new scholars arriving each year will be amongst the very best from their home countries.
Who does the University of Cambridge support?
The University of Cambridge welcomes applications from all Chevening-eligible countries in any subject, and generously co-funds a number of Chevening Awards.
All applicants who wish to be considered for an award at Cambridge must select the university as their top preference.
